There’s no third-party tracking in messages we send through MailChimp besides MailChimp’s own analytics

1. Below CITA gives you information on the way in which we process data of our customers, visitors and of the users of our website. CITA is responsible for the processing of your personal data. With the utmost care we will process your data to meet the applicable laws and regulations (the Belgian Act of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy in relation to the processing of personal data, hereinafter referred to as the “Privacy Act”, and any other applicable regulation, such as the GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulation). 2. 1. – Your personal data: Within the context of our products and services, and whenever you make contact with us, we will record your personal data, which includes for example name, address or e-mail address, telephone number, your personal preferences and interests. If you make a contact online, for example, through the contact boxes on our website; we record your IP-number.

2.2. How is your personal data processed? 2.2.1 – If you sign up for our newsletter, contact us per telephone, e-mail or online per contact box, or if you book an event, product or a service with us, it is possible that we will disclose and process your personal data on our servers in Belgium in order to be able to perform our agreement with you. For instance, we have to forward your personal data to our employees who will deliver the actual services/products you entitle us to. We wish to point out that the supervision of data protection is in compliance with the GDPR.

2.2.2 – We may also forward your personal data to companies acting on our behalf as data processor within the meaning of the Privacy Act, or to public authorities in Belgium and abroad in order to meet our legal obligations or as a courtesy to them. The processing referred to under 2.2 of this policy takes place for the following purposes: administration, customer service, relationship management, quality management, company and business management, reorganisation/restructuring of our company, risk assessment, safety, fraud and crime prevention/detection, control, research and analysis, ent, settlement of disputes, credit control and debt collection.

2.2.3 – CITA may use your e-mail address for the purpose of informing you on relevant CITA issues and inviting you to CITA events. The advertising tool software for this usage is MailChimp. We use MailChimp to manage our newsletter and other email lists. These analytics may aggregate how many subscribers open a message or click the links inside. MailChimp’s privacy policy is available at In addition, CITA store your e-mail address to inform you on CITA publications and other issues concerning your membership with CITA (book-keeping, invoices).

2.2.4. – Your personal data will allow us to contact you from time to time and/or provide you (directly or indirectly) with information about promotions for our services (or services offered by other entities of the CITA group), new products, events or meetings organised by us. We can adjust the information we send or make available to you, so that you will receive personalised information. We intend to keep your personal data updated. When you have contacted CITA, as customer, member, collaborator or interested individual, we assume that you agree to us sending you publicity and direct marketing material via e-mail/text messages or ordinary mail for the purposes indicated under 2.2 of this policy.
